the Himalayan Iyengar Yoga Centre is designed to give people a good
alternative of understanding their health problem and what to do to fix
it. It is for everyone with any kind of ailment seeking an alternative
way of healing themselves. Indian Yoga master with 40 years of practice,
teaching and healing experience, instructs specific Asanas to each
participant as well as gives his consultation and his recommendation on a
holistic approach to lifestyle including diet. His expertise and
special energy empowers people giving them confidence to practice
independently.
The main focus of the Sharat Arora
Therapeutic Yoga Teaching is to give a working knowledge and confidence
for each participant for their Healing Self-Practice at home to continue
helping their ailment. The Therapy Course includes many corrections and
close personal supervision in order to help the student understand
their healing process, combined with 4 Holistic body treatments for
every participant tailored to their needs. This Holistic combination of
Therapeutic Yoga Asanas, Nutrition and Therapeutic Bodywork will create a
better body awareness for the students healing process
An ailment can take root and develop
into a seemingly chronic issue over years of misalignment or
ill-treatment of the body. It then requires time and correct actions
before it can be removed from the body. Therefore it is to be understood
that only those willing to take up a Healing Self Yoga Practice
seriously may apply for the Yoga Therapy Course.
In our Dharamkot Yoga Centre, Dharamsala, we offer the 26-Day Yoga Therapy Courses in April/May.
The program of the Yoga Therapy Course
includes; firstly, 2 weeks of the prerequisite 5-Day Courses
(Introductory and Continuing) followed by the 12-Days of Yoga Therapy
Course. In between every week the practitioners will have 2 days of
self-practice in the Yoga Centre Hall. The 2 days of self-practice is
crucial for the participants to realise any doubts or questions related
to the prescribed individual Yoga Healing Program learned by them during
the classes. The 5 days of the regular classes prepares the
practitioners to go deeper in their understanding the healing process
and the method towards it.
After completing the two 5-Day Courses,
the Therapy course starts with 1-2 days of diagnosis, made by the master
teacher Sharat Arora. For each and every practitioner our team will
design a special program, according to their own needs. The diagnosis
will take place in a group so the understanding of the method will
become clear, if however a participant wishes a private consultation
this can be made possible.
During the 2 weeks of the Therapy course
the practitioners will participate in the Continuing Students' Classes
in the mornings and the Therapy Classes in the afternoons. The
practitioners will get all the tools to maintain a high level of
practice and they will benefit by knowing not only how to continue their
practice at home, receive plenty of corrections and personal
supervision, but they will also receive more subtle indications for
their Yoga Practice to heal themselves more effectively. At the second
week, the team, headed by the Master Sharat Arora will check the
progress of healing and will adjust the programs accordingly.
Please note: All the
therapy classes conducted by master yoga teacher Sharat Arora will be
recorded by audio, video and photography for the purpose of archiving
the teachings as well as the students' support.
